cleaning html tags.

does any one has any sql server function that passes some text and returns a string without html tags.

example:

nice day
should return nice day

or if other html tags strip them off.

thanks for your help.

-FrThis is not something that SQL Server is particularly good at.

You can probably accomplish this through instantiating the VBScript.RegExp libary and making use of a regular expression to strip out the HTML.

This article gives an example:Regular Expressions in T-SQL.

The pattern would probably be somthing like this: <[^>]*
Terri|||How about doing the same thing in c#?

Thanks

Classic ASP in Report Manager

Can I run classic asp pages in the report manager?
I'm implementing a multi-value select report which works fine using a
standard html page. I want to serive my values from a database however
and am therefor using asp. The asp page will display in the report
manager but the code will not run.
Thoughts?
Thanks!I had uploaded the asp page to the report manager. Keeping the page
outside report manager did the trick.
-J|||You would need to add the correct script mappings to the Report Manager
virtual directory. We do not add .asp mappings by default.

Cheking if report's rendering in excel

Hi,
Is there a way to use an expression to check if the report is in html or
Excel?
For instance, for displaying in html I could want some format, but in Excel
not.
Is there a way to test something like this':
=iif(ReportExcel, "GainsBoro", "White")
The part of ReportExcel, to test if Iâ'm in excel is the one I want to know
(ReportExcel should be an expression, that returns true of false).
Would be also nice to see if Iâ'm in html.
Basically, I want to avoid Actions in the excel file.
Thanks in advance,
Santiago E. ReilWhat you could do is have an extra parameter passed to the report lets say we pass temp.
Depending on if you are rendering in excel or HTML format pass 0 or 1 for the parameter.
Now you can use the value of temp to see if you are rendering in excel or HTML.
